Last week, an old friend contacted me about doing a photo session. Since we haven’t seen each other in a long time, we decided we were due for a reunion. Keana and I were part of a Halau (a Polynesian dance group – you know, the type you see at Hawaiian Luau’s where they bring you on stage after you’ve had a few drinks to see if you can do the hula while intoxicated) where she danced gracefully and I played the instruments the best I knew how – and by ‘the best I knew how’, I mean ‘uncontrollably bad’. We met up, caught up and took some amazing pictures. Check them out!

I had the opportunity to travel to Los Angeles this past weekend and shoot with the awesome crew of Chris Ace Films. It was an awesome experience for many reasons. Paul and Carol (bride and groom) were fun, friendly and energetic, the crew was on point (as always) and this Same Day Edit was a little different. For those of you who are unfamiliar with what a Same Day Edit (SDE) is, it is a short film of the wedding where the cinema crew films the wedding day, edits the footage throughout the event and shows the fully edited highlight film (the SDE) during the reception for everyone to see. This particular SDE was special because the crew was to shoot and fully edit the film and show it right before the bride and groom enter the reception for the Grand Entrance. It was intense, fast-paced and fun! So please enjoy Paul and Carol’s Same Day Edit.
Camera Crew: Adriel Callao, Chris Acedillo, Christian Acedillo, Nasser Mansour and Iris Chiou.
Editor: Chris Acedillo
P.S. Carol drove her own car to the ceremony. In a LOTUS.

This past Sunday, Keith and Raquel held their wedding in the Capital Rose Garden on an unpredictable day of June. The day began as a gloomy Sunday morning which turned into light drizzle and ended as a normal sunny, summer day. Despite the unpredictability of the weather, the wedding day was a joyous occasion none the less. Please take a look and you’ll immediately understand what I’m talking about.

I had the opportunity to take a quick photo session of my brother Paul and his new wife Beverly while we were in Hawaii sometime between eating poke on the beach and eating poke at the other beach. We all had a great time spending quality family time together and made sure we all gained at least 10 more pounds before heading back home to Sacramento. Here’s to Paul and my new sister.
